Scott Kirby was appointed chief executive officer on United Airlines in 2020 and previously served as the company’s president. He has a 30-year career in aviation with time at America West, US Airways, and American Airlines. Scott earned his bachelor’s degrees in computer science and operations research from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in operations research from George Washington University.
